Summary The City deems it in the public interest to provide for the maintenance and operation of traffic signals along the State Highway System within the corporate limits of the City of Alachua.
The City's Fiscal Year 2016 compensation for traffic operations signal maintenance from FDOT was $23,104. The City's amended Fiscal Year 2017 compensation for traffic operation signal maintenance from FDOT is increased to $33,874.
This increase derived from an increase in cost(s) associated with maintenance (based on consumer price index) and the addition of the signal provided at US 441 at NW167TH BLVD (signal at the Publix intersection).
FDOT requires that a resolution be
amended indicating the City's willingness to accept and undertake the
duties outlined in the agreement as well as execution of the agreement.
Executed documents must be returned to FDOT by September 30, 2016.
Specific compensation associated with maintaining traffic signals and devices may be found in Exhibit A of the amendment. |
