Summary One Drainage Easement from the District Board of Trustees of Santa Fe College (Santa Fe) to the City of Alachua (COA) and one Easement from the COA to Santa Fe are presented for Commission consideration.
The Plat of Progress Technology Park recorded in Plat Book 28, Pages 86 and 87 of the Public Records of Alachua County includes Lot 2 that is the site of the Santa Fe College. Contiguous to Lot 2 on the same Plat is a COA owned Stormwater Management Facility (retention basin). The identified plat reflects the presence of the two easements attached but the purpose of the two easements presented to the Commission, with a recommendation of staff for approval and acceptance, is to clearly establish, locate and legally describe certain drainage rights of each party.
The easement from Santa Fe to the COA describes and grants drainage rights to an existing underground stormwater facility (pipe) and the easement from the COA to Santa Fe grants the right of Santa Fe to stormwater drainage over the COA owned retention basin.
The attached copy of the Drainage Easement from Santa Fe to the COA has been executed and delivered to the COA in trust conditioned and contingent upon the COA executing and delivering to Santa Fe the companion easement over the retention basin. |
