Summary At the January 13, 2017 Commission Meeting, the Commission conducted the first of two required public hearings to determine the type of grant application that the City is projected to be submitted to the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for the FFY 2016 cycle. The City is eligible to receive up to $700,000 under this funding cycle.
City staff recommends the City apply to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for a FFY 2016 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $700,000 in the Neighborhood Revitalization Category. The activities, dollar amounts and estimated percentage benefit to low-and-moderate-income persons are as follows:
