Summary Upon approval of the City's FY 2015 budget, $90,000 was allocated under the Police Department's Operating Capital Outlay (Machinery & Equipment) for the purchase of three (3) police patrol vehicles. Attached is a sales quote for three (3) 2015 Dodge Chargers in the amount of $65,997, provided by AutoNation. The quote is based on prices established in the Florida Sheriff's Association (FSA) purchasing contract (#14-22-0904; effective 10/01/2014 through 09/30/2015), a competitively bid contract, therefore exempt from the bidding process delineated by the City's Purchasing and Sales Policy and Regulations. The quote total represents the base FSA contract price of $21,975, plus an additional $24.00 per vehicle for the option of disabling rear locks and windows.
Special note - This quote is for the purchase of the vehicles only. Once vehicles are received by the department, additional funds will be expended to outfit them with equipment (light bar, sirens, console, etc.) and agency decals. | | |
