Summary The original 2015 agenda item of the Nov. 24, 2014 regular City Commission meeting was presented as follows:
“The 2015 City Commission Meeting Calendar is proposed to resolve conflicts with holidays for the purpose of maintaining necessary timing for the proper notification and advertising of meetings and ordinances.
The only holiday conflict with the regular second and fourth Monday meetings is Memorial Day, which falls on the fourth Monday in May.
It is recommended to simply forego the second meeting in May to accommodate the Memorial Day holiday and hold the first meeting in July which is customarily not held due to the July 4th holiday.
It is recommended to continue the customary practice of foregoing the second December meeting.”
Because there were no agenda items, and in an effort to conserve City resources and funds, the City Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2015 was cancelled.
Accordingly, staff proposes the following amended 2015 calendar reflecting this change:
