Summary The City of Alachua has been contacted by a representative of the Wyndswept Hills Homeowners Association, Inc. requesting the City provide traffic enforcement on their private streets. At present, the City has three (3) traffic enforcement agreements in place: Turkey Creek Master Owners Association, Alachua Highlands and Stonegate. The streets within these residential subdivisions are privately maintained; as such, the purpose of these traffic enforcement contracts is to permit the Alachua Police Department to conduct traffic enforcement activities on the private streets within the boundaries of the specified subdivision.
The proposed traffic enforcement agreement mirrors that of the other three currently in force, which describes the cost for enforcement of $100 per year, invoiced on an annual basis by the City. The agreement will commence upon approval and acceptance by both parties, and continue for an indefinite period. Either party may terminate the Agreement, with 24-hours written notice. | | |
