Summary In the commission of their regular duties as police officers for the City of Alachua Police Department, Brandon Young and Jason Moses were instrumental in the resuscitation of an adult male believed to be in cardiac arrest. On March 22, 2015, Officers Young and Moses responded to a medical emergency call at a residence, where a male subject was discovered unresponsive and not breathing. Officers immediately began chest compressions and utilized their department-issued Automated External Defibrillator (AED). They continued chest compressions until arrival of Alachua County Fire & Rescue (ACFR); the male subject was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment. In appreciation of their efforts, the City of Alachua Police Department wishes to recognize Officer Brandon Young and Officer Jason Moses for their heroic actions. | | |
