Summary On Friday, June 26, 2015, Chad D. Scott was promoted to the Chief of Police position. Chief Scott has been with the Alachua Police Department since 2008, and worked his way up through the ranks; first as a Reserve Officer, then full-time Officer to Special Teams Traffic Unit, then Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Deputy Chief of Police. He has an extensive background in law enforcement, and is eager to continue his public service in this new position. At the request of Chief Scott, Judge Susanne Wilson-Bullard will officiate for his swearing-in and administer the oath of office. | | |
