Summary The proposed FY 2016 Compensation Plan includes minimal changes from the currently approved FY 2015 Compensation Plan. There is the proposed addition of the Police Officer III position. This new position is intended to provide an additional level of career progression for experienced officers who attain a minimum of an A.A. or A.S. degree and earn recommendation for promotion from the Chief of Police.
Additionally, the proposed FY 2016 Compensation Plan minimum and maximum compensation levels per position represent a 3% increase from those in the currently approved FY 2015 Compensation Plan. The approved FY 2016 Budget includes a 3% cost of living increase for all employees. Per City Code Section 2-167, when cost of living increases are approved by the Commission, the pay plan will be adjusted by the percent approved. |
