Summary The proposed Interlocal Agreement between the City of High Springs and the City of Alachua for building inspection services is a reciprocal agreement whereby either city could provide inspection services when the respective building official/inspector is unavailable due to illness,vacation etc.
The proposed agreement does not involve the exchange of fees or payments to either city and is soley contingent upon the availability of the respective employee to conduct inspections.
It is anticipated that the proposed agreement will result in a cost savings to the City of Alachua Building Division, as the need to hire an outside contractor to conduct inspections when the Building Official is unavailable will be reduced. |
