Summary The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has received an award from the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ) for FFY 2015 JAG funds. These grant funds are distributed to units of local government based on local population and crime statistics reported to FDLE.
FDLE has allocated $1,622.00 from this award for use by our agency, in accordance with the Florida JAG Direct distribution provision of Chapter 11D-9, Florida Administrative Code. The agency would like to use these funds in order to purchase Simunition conversion kits for department issued service firearms. The project start and end dates are February 1, 2016, through June 30, 2016.
In order to finalize this process, the agency must: 1) complete an online application using FDLE's Grant Management System (GMS), which was due on January 8, 2016 (completed); and 2) submit two (2) hard copy applications with original signatures (Mayor & Chief of Police) to FDLE by January 15, 2016 (completed).
Special Note - In order to meet submission deadlines, both the online application and signed original grant application documents have been submitted to FDLE. |
