Summary Alachua County is considering the placement of a half-cent sales tax initiative on the Nov. 2016 ballot for the following purpose:
To acquire and improve environmentally sensitive lands to protect drinking water sources, water quality, and wildlife habitat, and to create, improve, and maintain park and recreational facilities.
The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners has requested all municipalities provide a project list for which the half-cent tax (if approved by the voters) would fund.
The City is providing this opportunity for comment by board members on the staff-developed list. |
