Summary In the three years since speech and debate were introduced to Santa Fe High School the students have traveled throughout Florida, to Atlanta, to Chicago, and to Philadelphia qualifying and competing on the national level. Kicking it up a notch for 2016, the team will be competing at the Grand National Speech & Debate Tournament hosted by the National Catholic Forensic League in Sacramento, California.
The students are in need of funds for attending student competition and travel expenses for the May 28 - May 29, 2016 event. The students requested a presentation to the City Commission to support their fundraising efforts.
Members of the speech and debate team as well as their faculty adviser Chris Salamone are in attendance to do the presentation and to answer any questions. |
