Summary Alachua County requested the City provide a proposed project list for a potential half-cent surtax to be placed on the Nov. 2016 ballot. The proposed surtax is similar to the former Wild Spaces, Public Places surtax, which can be used for conservation and recreation purposes. City Staff developed the proposed list and transmitted it to the County by the Feb. 15, 2016 deadline required by the County.
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board considered the list during its Feb. 17, 2016 meeting and approved the list and recommended approval by the City Commission. |
