RECOMMENDED ACTION:

This Board finds that the proposed text amendments to the Land Development Regulations are consistent with the City of Alachua Comprehensive Plan and transmits the proposed text amendments to the Land Development Regulations to the City Commission with a recommendation to approve.

 

Summary

In the process of implementing the Land Development Regulations (LDRs) over the past several years, Staff has found various subsections within the LDRs which have been either difficult for applicants to implement, need further clarification, or would benefit the City and applicants as a whole if amended to provide for standards which are more reasonably based.

 

the proposed text amendments in their entirety are attached as part of draft Ordinance 16- 04. The attached staff report has a detailed description of all proposed changes to the land development regulations.
