Summary The purpose of this item is to recognize and appropriate previously unanticipated revenue received since the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Budget. Corresponding expense accounts must also be appropriated in order to maintain a balanced budget.
A breakdown of the amendment by fund is as follows:
The General Fund budget will be increased by $13,000 as a result of the Alachua Police Department being awarded a Justice Assistance Grant to purchase a Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED) and cloud analyzer. Federal grant funding is being provided through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. There is no required match for this grant.
Approval of this item would amend the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Budget total to $37,380,012.
Adoption of a Resolution 16-05 authorizing the budget amendment attached as "Exhibit A" is required to effect this change.
This item was previously presented at the January 11, 2016 City Commission meeting. Due to an inadvertent clerical error, a duplicate resolution number was utilized at that time. |
