SUBJECT: RFB 2016-05 General and Right of Way Mowing & Landscaping Services Award

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

(1) Accept the lowest bid in the amount of $4,069.00 monthly ($48,828.00 Annually) submitted by Florida Southern.

(2) Authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Florida Southern to complete the work under the provisions of RFB 2016-05.

Summary

On March 17, 2016, the City solicited formal bids from qualified vendors to furnish labor and equipment to provide General and Right of Way Mowing and Landscaping Services.

The City received six (6) bids in response to RFB 2016-05. Of the bids received, three (3) were determined to be Responsive & Responsible Bidders: Florida Southern with a monthly bid of $4,069.00; Watson Yard & Lawn Service with a monthly bid of $4,305.00; and SAS Lawncare, Inc. with a monthly bid of $5,260.00.

Staff recommends to proceed with awarding RFB 2016-05 to Florida Southern.
