Summary In the process of implementing the Land Development Regulations (LDRs) over the past several years, Staff has found various subsections within the LDRs which have been either difficult for applicants to implement, need further clarification, or would benefit the City and applicants as a whole if amended to provide for standards which are more reasonably based.
The proposed text amendments in their entirety are attached as part of Ordinance 16-04. The attached Staff Report includes a detailed description of all proposed changes to the Land Development Regulations. The Planning & Zoning Board held a public hearing on March 7, 2016 and found the proposed text amendments to be consistent with the City of Alachua Comprehensive Plan and voted 5-0 to transmit such finding to the City Commission.
The City Commission voted 5-0 on March 28, 2016 to approve Ordinance 16-04 on first reading. |
