Summary Resolution 13-01 currently provides the adopted schedule of fees for applications pertaining to planning and development, and includes a fee for voluntary annexation applications. The Alachua County Boundary Adjustment Act (BAA), which previously governed the annexation process in Alachua County, is no longer in effect. The review process for annexations is now solely governed by Florida Statute 177.044. The process for annexation under Florida Statute is streamlined compared to the process under the BAA. With staff review and processing time reduced, it is recommended that the application fee for annexation be reduced. The current fee is $2,150. Staff is recommending that the fee be reduced to $1,000, the majority of which will cover the cost of four (4) advertisements for two (2) public hearings. | | |
