Summary On November 9, 2015, the City Commission approved a professional services agreement with Paul Stresing Associates Inc. for the design of a new Multipurpose Center and Related Facilities for the purpose of culture and recreation use in the City of Alachua, specifically Phase I of the Project Legacy Master Plan.
Phase I of the agreement with Paul Stressing Associates included the design of the project, including construction plans, bid documents and the site plan process. Phase II of the agreement relates to construction support services to assist the City throughout the construction phase of the project. With the construction to begin in May 2016, it is necessary to authorize Phase II construction support services. The original fee for the Phase II services was $85,000. However, City staff negotiated additional services as part of Phase II services to ensure adequate inspections, site visits and administrative functions are accomplished for a total cost of $99,850. | | |
