MEETING DATE:  8/22/2022

SUBJECT:  Revision to FY 2022 Compensation Plan

PREPARED BY:  Tara L. Malone - Human Resources Director

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Approve proposed changes to the FY22 Compensation Plan.

Summary

The proposed revision to the FY 2022 Compensation Plan includes an increase in range and/or minimum hourly wage for eight (8) positions.  Those positions are Cashier/Customer Service Representative I, Distribution/Collections Apprentice, Facilities Custodial Worker, Facilities Maintenance Worker, Public Works Technician I, Receptionist, Recreation Assistant I and Recreation Assistant II.  The purpose is to bring all positions up to a minimum hourly wage, in an effort of being more competitive in the labor market.

The proposed changes do not increase Full-Time equivalents (FTE’s) and the fiscal impact is approximately $830 in wages across funds for the remainder of the fiscal year.  The previously approved FY22 Compensation Plan has been provided for reference, along with the proposed FY22 Compensation Plan.  Positions highlighted in yellow on the proposed plan, illustrate the recommend changes.
