Summary On June 9, 2017 the Department of Planning and Community Development received a request from Sergio Reyes, P.E., of eda, inc., for a six (6) month extension to a previously approved Development Order issued July 12, 2016. If approved, this Development Order would be extended until January 12, 2018. Per Section 2.4.9 (G)(2), City of Alachua Land Development Regulations, "[u]pon written application submitted at least 30 days prior to the expiration of the permit period by the applicant and upon a showing of good cause, the PZB may grant one extension not to exceed six months. The approval shall be deemed extended until the PZB has acted upon the request for extension. Failure to submit an application for an extension within the time limits established by this section shall render the site plan void".
The applicant has identified further investigation of soils resulting in the need to redesign the foundation as the cause for the need to extend the site plan approval. | | |
