Summary At the October 30, 2017 CRA Advisory Board Meeting staff presented the event program strategies and schedule. The Advisory Board provided recommendations to the proposed event schedule and focused their comments about the need for effective advertising, and better coordination between stakeholder organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce.
The board suggested better event signage, more effective use of media outlets (TV, radio), and the creation of a cross-organization event calendar to encourage wider attendance. Specific events the board would like to see implemented include those that highlight the history of Main Street such as a historic walking tour, a weekly event such as a farmer’s market, and the regular use of the Theatre park for music and arts.
Staff will present the events schedule and received any recommendations or questions the CRA may have. |
