SUBJECT:  RFQ 2018-02 Engineering Design and Construction Admninistration Services for San Felasco Parkway Award

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

1)  Accept the recommended rankings of the Selection Committee with the top three (3) ranked qualifiers being:  (1) Causseaux, Hewett and Walpole (CHW), (2) DRMP and (3) George F. Young, Inc.

2)  Authorize Staff to move forward with negotiations to enter into a contract with Causseaux, Hewett and Walpole (CHW).  Should negotiations fail, allow Staff to move forward with negotiations with the second and third ranked firms, if necessary.

3)  Upon agreed negotiations, authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract to provide Engineering Services for Engineering Design and Construction Administration Services to San Felasco Parkway in an amount not to exceed $775,000.00.

 

Summary

On July 19, 2018 the City solicited formal requests for qualifications from qualified vendors to provide engineering services to assist in the Engineering Design and Construction Administration Services for San Felasco Parkway.

 

The City received three (3) qualification packets in response to RFQ 2018-02.  All qualification packets were deemed responsive.  The qualifiers were DRMP, Causseaux, Hewett and Walpole (CHW), and George F. Young, Inc.

 

Selection Committee members reviewed, evaluated and scored the qualifications.  The Selection Committee met, discussed and ranked the qualifications as follows:  First Ranked - Causseaux, Hewett and Walpole (CHW), Second Ranked - DRMP and Third Ranked - George F. Young, Inc.

 

Staff recommends to enter into negotiations with Causseaux, Hewett and Walpole (CHW) as the First Ranked Qualifier.

ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION:Funding providing through the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund award the City received for the San Felasco Parkway improvements, totaling $6,755,000.
