Summary On June 18, 2018, the City solicited formal proposals (RFP 2018-02) from qualified vendors to provide engineering services to assist in the expansion of the City electric system.
On Aug. 13, 2018, the City Commission voted 4-0, authoring Staff to negotiate with Jacobs, which was the top ranked firm.
Staff began negotiations with Jacobs for engineering services for expansion of City electrical infrastructure and designed a scope of work that addresses the following tasks:
- Task 1 - Design New Greenfield Substation
- Task 2 - Bidding Administration
- Task 3 - Transmission Interconnection Requirements
- Task 4 - Construction Administration
- Task 5 - Startup and Commissioning Support
Based upon agreed negotiations, staff recommends to move forward with executing a contract to provide Engineering Services for Expansion of City Existing Electrical Infrastructure. |
