SUBJECT:  Resolution 19-08 Amending FY 2018-2019 Budget

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Adopt Resolution 19-08.

 

Summary

On November 19, 2018, the City Commission approved submittal of a grant application to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) under the FFY 17 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program.  The grant application was submitted on behalf of the Alachua Police Department (APD) for the purchase of equipment (radars & rifle mounts) in the amount of $8,285.00.  On April 22, 2019, the City received notification that the grant award had been approved, along with a Certificate of Acceptance for the Mayor's signature.  The Fiscal Year 2018-2019 budget must now be amended to appropriate funds for revenues and expenses associated with receipt of the JAG.
