Summary The City of Alachua has proposed water and wastewater upgrades west of NW 167th Blvd along US Hwy 441 as part of the Alachua West Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Improvement Areas.
The water system improvements include the extension of a 12-inch water main west to the City limits along US Hwy 441 and an extension south on CR 235A.
The wastewater improvements consist of the construction of an 8" force main from the probable western most City lift station to the existing force main at the corner of CR 235A.
Staff requested a proposal from Causseaux, Hewett and Walpole (CHW) to provide professional engineering services for the Utility System Upgrades. The Scope of Services will include a Topographic Survey, Engineering Design Services, Permitting Services, and Construction Administration Services. CHW proposes to provide the engineering services for a lump sum of $100,216.00.
Staff recommends to accept the proposal submitted by CHW to provide the professional engineering services for the Utility System Upgrades. |
