SUBJECT:  Election of Chair and Vice Chair

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Elect a CRA Advisory Board member to serve as the Chair and elect a second CRA Advisory Board member to serve as the Vice Chair.

Summary

Resolution CRA17-04, which established the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Advisory Board, establishes the procedures for the election of the Chair and Vice Chair. As set forth in this Resolution, "[t]he Advisory Board shall elect a Chair and Vice Chair from among its members, each of whom shall serve for one year and/or until a successor is elected and qualified. The Chair shall preside at all meetings and exercise the usual rights, duties, and perogatives as Chair. She/he will lead the meetings. The Vice Chair shall perform the duties of the Chair Person in the absence of the Chair."

The CRA Advisory Board last elected its Chair and Vice Chair on July 16, 2018. Current Chair Rudy Rothseiden and current Vice Chair Bryan Boukari have each served in these capacities since the inception of the CRA Advisory Board in July 2017.
