Summary On August 8, 2019, the City solicited formal bids from qualified vendors to furnish all necessary equipment, supervision, labor, materials and incidentals to perform vegetation maintenance and powerline tree trimming (exclusive of landscape maintenance) for the Annual Powerline Tree and Vegetation Maintenance Services.
The awarded bid will include a contract effective through October 1, 2020. The contract will automatically renew on October 1, 2020 for one of four (4) successive one year terms , effective October 1 to September 30 of the following calendar year, unless automatic renewal is cancelled by either party.
The City received one (1) bid in response to RFB 2019-11. A Qualified bid was received from Core Services, LLC. Base Bid requested hourly rates and were submitted as follows: Labor per Crew Member - $25.80; Bucket Truck 55' Aerial Lift & Operator - $43.45; Bucket Truck 70' Aerial Lift & Operator - $43.75; Jaraff All-Terrain Tree Trimmer & Operator - $225.00; Bobcat & Operator - $68.00; Chipper & Operator - $41.90; Stump Grinder & Operator - $26.00 and Chain Saw & Operator - $25.90.
Staff recommends to award the contract to Core Services, LLC to complete the Powerline Tree and Vegetation Maintenance.
