Summary On August 1, 2019, the City solicited formal bids from qualified vendors to furnish all the necessary labor, materials, tools, fuel, equipment & all other direct and indirect costs for the annual requirement for lawn and landscape maintenance services at nine (9) locations in the City of Alachua (Hal Brady Recreation Center, City Parks, Community Center, Police Substation, Fire Station & Other City Property).
The awarded bid will include a contract effective through October 1, 2020. The contract will automatically renew on October 1, 2020 for one of four (4) successive one year terms, effective October 1 to September 30 of the following calendar year, unless automatic renewal is cancelled by either party.
The City received five (5) bids in response to RFB 2019-13. Four of the five bids were determined to be responsive and responsible. Responsive and responsible bids were received from: Royal Grounds Solutions, LLC in the amount of $4,375.00 monthly; Gainesville Lawnscaping in the amount of $4,635.00 monthly; Subterranean Enterprises, LLC in the amount of $5,865.00 and Green Maintenance & Cleaning, Inc. in the amount of $4,470.00 monthly.
Staff recommends to award the contract to Royal Grounds Solutions, LLC as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to complete the Lawn & Landscape Maintenance Services for the Hal Brady Recreation Center, City Parks, Community Center, Police Substation, Fire Station and Other City Property. | | |
